Video plans for 2015!

Some of you might now that I love recording videos and putting them together.. I'm just really bad at taking the step and posting them, and I have no idea why. But this is now going to change

My YouTube channel is from the start of 2015 going to be updated with new videos every week!

This is going to be fun for me, and hopefully also for you. I hope this will make you all feel a little closer to the whole "exchange year" thing.

First American Christmas

Hey everyone,

Christmas is now officially over, which is sad.. I have already spent half of my exchange year in the US. I am really starting to realize it now. But back to christmas!

So for my American christmas we had the stockings, santa presents, woke early op in the morning to unwrap the presents - everything that I thought my christmas would contain was included. My host-little brother Alex woke me up at 5:30 this morning and wanted to make sure I saw all the presents Santa had brought. A ton! In Denmark my family is really good at giving many presents at christmas time, but I was astound.. presents after present. We went in to my host-parents room but they thought it was too early, so Alex and I slept and hour extra on the couch. Then we woke Ann and Rob and started unwrapping the presents. No time for breakfast or brushing my teethes. I got some amazing presents and I am so grateful for every single one of them.

The rest of the day was spent eating, relaxing and just having some family time. It was hard not being home for christmas, but the joy I had while spending my christmas here made it all much better. I will always remember this christmas.

I am so thankful for everything my host family has done for me. They are truly the most amazing people I know.

During christmas I also made it to EF's bostinno page with the picture below. You can see the page here

Thanksgiving

Okay, so I have to admit that I suck at updating my blog.. There is just so much stuff that happens all the time and it's just hard to remember always to update, but we still have many months left so don't worry, the blog updates will come! I have again again decided to do my blog in English just because that's the language I'm speaking now + I still want to practice it and hopeful get better! The Facebook page will still be in Danish, but with short update and mostly links to my blog and my videos.

As some of you may have seen on my Facebook profile, I changed host family not so long ago. I have now lived in my new home for about 1 and a half week and I already love it. My host family were in Arizona during thanksgiving break and I stayed at home which meant I had to move in with my IEC for the week, which was fun.

I celebrated thanksgiving at another IEC's house (on wednesday so they could have their whole family there), and she has an exchange student named Luis from Italy. The whole day we were eating food so when the dinner was served I was already full, but of course I couldn't miss out on a real thanksgiving dinner! All of the food you see in the movies when they celebrate the day, was there. The turkey, pies, sweet potatoes, beans and it was delicious. After eating we played a lot of boardgames and then I got picked up by my host moms friend and we went back to my house.

This is where I want to tell what I'm thankful for. I'm thankful for my family at home who never fails to lighten up my day even though we are thousands of miles apart. My amazing friends in Denmark who I am glad I still talk to. I miss you guys so much. Thank you to my old host family, we have had some amazing months and I am so thankful for the things you've shown me and taught me about the US. A big thank you to EF who is a BIG reason for why all of this is even possible, and you for always being there. This is where Ann Roe, who is also my new host mom, needs her big thank you. If it wasn't for you I wouldn't be here right now. I am sure we are going to have some great months. and of course also thank you to Rob, Alex and Hamilton <3

Thursday I went Black Friday shopping with my friend Madi (starts thursday, weird right? But amazing!) and we started out waiting in line at JCPenney and Sephora. around 4:30pm(16:30) and they opened at 5. Then we went to Macy's at 6 and then Walmart and some other places until we at 12am(00:00) went to Boise Towne Square Mall. I went crazy in Victoria's secret and then all of a sudden it was 3:30 and we had to go home, and I was tired! All I wanted was my bed.

All in all, thanksgiving was amazing and I wouldn't trade mine for anything
